Production Notes

An adaptation from The Citizens Theatre of Glascow combining Beaumarchais’ 18th Century comedies THE BARBER OF SEVILLE and THE MARRIAGE OF FIGARO. Produced by Harvard University’s Loeb Drama Center in 1978. Giles Havergall, Director. Joan Ferenchak, Set Designer. The costume designs were based on the director’s desire for the performers to resemble a gypsy acting troupe who had pulled together costumes ranging form many decades of the 18th century.
